well hi there,
I just want a little off sim tree to pop on my reef, nothing major just a low prim pine or somesuch. Very easy to find off sim islands, reefs, sims, but not just trees - is anyone making?

You can make any tree (in fact, anything) offsim that is mod. Just link it to an invisible prim (<10 meters away from it), and make that prim the root. Put that prim within your sim, and rotate it so that the tree is offshore.

Ah- thank you that makes sense. Could you tell me though how to make that prim the core prim. I acutally tried to do that yesterday, picking a tree and the core prim off one of my off sim islands and linking them, but the tree would not go past the boundary, so i must have missed the "core prim" bit. Thanks

just make the last piece you select the invisible prim. when you select it the invisible prim should be yellow, and the rest blue
