Need/want Greeter script for a droid

Need/want Greeter script for a droid with full perms (to tweak, change text and objects given etc)
Just for me for now but may well make some to sell

Ideally droid would need option to wander, follow or greet (wander and greet if AV come close!) and dock.
Also specific action event needed to be performed when greeting people (i.e. Extend an arm out/deploy scan beam/play sound etc)
I have wandering scripts, greeting scripts and pet scripts but dont have all in one!

I have a greeter script, that I'm still working on (need to figure out what to do when SL kills scripts, need to set store name from Notecard) I was thinking about packaging it and selling it once it's 100%... but the script would be [no mod/no copy], and it's basically a notification system for my employees that someone has entered the store (and keeps a log).


Give it away full perms? eek! I've probably wasted about 80 hours on the darn thing... and it's not even a following/wandering/object giver (that idea kinda creeps me out). I've thought about making it an object giver (Notecard, Landmark), but I hate those things. Not just a little... I mean really HATE getting spammed with Notecards and Landmarks from greeters. I put my notecard/landmark giver on a sign, triggered by clicking.

Anyhoo, if you want my script as full perms, I'd consider selling it that way for some outrageous pile of Lindens...

I have a couple of greeters in my skybox to see how they were (R2D2 unit and a hovering greeter that gives notecards, gifts etc)
That way i could see what i wanted and didn't want.
Yes the requirement of giving something is a very low priority one and will prob be scrapped. Some sort of action on top of just saying Hi (after all..it is a greeter droid/bot!) would be top of the 'wants' list
Maybe extension of an arm, scanning probe or something

The ability to wander, greet & follow are on the requirements and in that order of importance!
I would agree with you that physically giving an object/notecard is pointless and irritating (for my criteria anyway)
I have a follow script..which is the same as a simple pet script but thats way too boring for my project.
I need greeter script with physical movement. I can get static greeter scripts anywhere but thanks anyway.
Guess I'll keep looking. Think I'm gonna end up getting it customly done by pro scripter.
