I am trying to make a ferris wheel, I have built it, not huge, just a small one
my problem is the seats, how to make it so they do not go upside down when the wheel turns.

I know this can be done, as I have seen it on other ferris wheels, but they were way too big for me.

If you script and want to help me out, please contact me either here, or in game.

I would like if someone could help and would accept a store rental for a month free in lieu of payment.

If payment is preferred contact me to discuss the cost.

Moin Rhaorth,

a ferris wheel would be trivial, if llTargetOmega wont be broken for child prims. The idea is to rotate the root prim with lets say PI/6 and the child prims with -PI/6. The problem is, thats impossible to stop the child prims rotations. So you can start the wheel, but never stop it, to offer a passenger seat.

ciao,Michael

I have seen ferris wheels that start and stop and the seats stay positioned properly

I am sorry but I do not understand the comments you made, I am not a scripter

I know this can be done, as I have seen it done in SL

You can stop an omega rotation, simply set it to <0,0,0>.

If you still need a scripter, contact me.
