Hello everyone,

Any idea where I can get one? Or if someone skilled can make me one? Ideally, and if possible, it should be a tattoo or something I can apply on top of the existing skin(s) I own. Colour wise I'd go for black.

Please don't give me the easy answer "go bald" lol, it's not what I'm looking for.

Please reply to this post or IM in world if you know where to find it or if you can make it.

Paola, I have a friend who has been searching for something very similar - she wants to be a very short-haired red-head. Maybe not QUITE as short as what you have, but everyone seems to only have shoulder-length or longer hair, or stuff that looks more like molded plastic on your head!

Will be watching this thread....

I've never seen anything that short, tight,
'cept for a skin that came w/ a hair painted on the skin and not options.
Some don't look bad if you like that look.

hi all,

the problem with short hair in SL is, that it is hard to fit it to the various head shapes.
it is much easier to make hair a bit too big so it looks better on most avatars.
i think that is why there is so few stores offering shorter styles at all,
and nothing "that" short.
i can do a custom one maybe if you contact me inworld with a good picture of the style and a notecard.

Use the default avatar hair, not prim hair. Get some decent hair textures, such as the ones available from Robin Sojourner (see her shop on Livingtree).

Once you have the texture, use the Appearance sliders to make your own.

I have tried to do textured short hair similar for men without it being attached the skin and with.
One problem example of problem I faced without the skin template having hair built in is the textured hair doesn't lay flat and natural on the head so get these weird gaps whenever I have done it.
There is free templates you could use and special hair brushes where you could do this yourself, if don't know how I can help although I am no expert at this just learning.
Nagel if you search has some very natural hair brushes.
Ellioh has templates for skin you use and modify. I don't remember her full name, I am sorry I could look it up.

That kind of cut will only look good if it is painted onto the skin. Naughty's Alina skin has some hair painted on as an option, I believe, but it is dark. That will work for you, but not everyone.

Thanks everyone for the replies, suggestions and inputs.

I've found 2 solutions I'm quite comfortable with: one is a skin and the other are very short hair.

Kalderi, these are the shops:

- skin from Tuty's ~ Skin & Shape Store, Lauzon (225, 51, 26) [ i've got the Donna Pale Skin ]

- hair from )))))= LITTLE HEAVEN =((((( Mai, LITTLE HEAVEN (115, 75, 22) [ style is Rabi ]
