I am setting up a fairly extensive alternative lifestyle / bdsm area in my sim that will be open to the public.
I am looking to save a bit by obtaining some gear that people are no longer in need of.

If you are getting in touch with me inworld, please send a notecard as my im's are often capped.

Hope you disinfect them before you use them again.

Your best solution is to find freebie sites. There are lots of them giving away furniture for nothing or maybe 1 linden. Most items that other folks have purchased are probably no transfer and/or no copy. You probably won't get many takers on that.

On the other hand, I do have an old couch I haven't been using...*drags out lime green colored sofa from a back corner*

Actually, I do recall coming across a vendor who gave away a box of free bdsm toys. Don't ask me where it was. I don't remember. It was basic stuff. Ball gags, whips, cane, maybe some locks. Look around, check out the malls.

Now I remember, it was a freebie box of bdsm stuff at Dark Den. About 5 dozen items.

I am sure i will be jumped on for what i am about to say but .. there are many BDSM play areas out there that are open to the public. Many have put in alot of time and money to get the best of equipment to entice ppl to go and play there, alot of the free items have very jerky movements or poses that are beyond belief for lifestyle rs.

Go look at the places out there see what is on offer then see just what you want to cater to is it those in the lifestyle , those wanting to RP , those who want to think they are in the lifestyle ? When you find your demographics then you can see what you need

I agree on the older lifestyle furniture, very jerky and rather cheap looking. Also as Wind said, there are many gorgeous lifestyle sims with all top of the line stuff...and never one person there. if your doing it for fun then thats great but if your looking for traffic, more than likely not gonna happen to much at all, if ever. Not trying to sink your ship but I'm a lifestyler in SL and have been one for a while. It's still "popular" but not as popular as it once was. Good luck though. Send me a LM inworld, I'd like to take a peak when you finish.

I would also be interested in looking, i also have been a lifestyler in and out of SL. As fo your comment about it not being as popular i thing it is about the same since i started but most pop in and out not in for any long term.
