do an xstreet search for the Salt Hud.

its a search based system for megaprim retrieval, and will give you nearest sizes etc, select the one you want, and itll be sent to you. I couldnt do without it.

Doh. I offer the best help possible, and you throw it back in my face.

The salt hud will give you the megaprims you want, and any others you may need in future and its FREE!!!!!!!!!!

Why do people feel the need to offer something to me I am not looking for and don't need?

It amazes me that people can read but not understand the English language!

Rhonan's answer was the best. You may have asked the question, but that doesn't mean you know the best answer when you see it.

zena, the salt hud is very helpful. if you already have it and can't find the sizes you need, you could say "i have tried it thanks, but i couldn't find the sizes i wanted", if you don't already have it, i say take the advice and try it, i'm 99% sure you will find the size you want, even if it means having to slice sizes with a larger z axis. after trying it and not finding the size, then i would come back stating that without being nasty towards people offering help. good luck

In case you didn't notice, your question has been answered.

But wait! You were busy being a jerk to notice!

That's an EXCELLENT way to say thank you!

What are YOU whining about?

This is a "Products Wanted" thread not a "Gimme Your Junk" thread!

hmmmm

Someone, offers you a solution which will help you to find the object you are looking for, and you complain in some what blunt terms because they don't give you EXACTLY what you want.

Now giving you the benefit of the doubt ....

you didn't want one of the many boxes of megaprims which you have to open filling your inventory with hundreds of items you don't need, which is fine.
But the solution offered is a simple hud, which you use to query a library of mega prims, it give a list of those which best match your requirement and you can choose which one you want, and it is magically delivered to you. voila problem solved, and also you have a readily available means of finding the next mega prim you may need at some time in the future

Now if you've already used the SALT hud and it didn't have the exact size you wanted, a simple I've already tried that and it didn't have the size I want/need would have sufficed.

I can think of a couple of good reasons.

1) Often, the best resolution to a need is not the most literally correct answer to the precise question. This is a good case in point. You asked for certain kinds of fish. Rohan offered a simple way to get specific kinds of fish for yourself, so it not only answered this specific case, but future cases you may have, as well. And it only takes a few simple steps on your part.

2) Threads are public. A good answer to your question also often answers other people's questions as well. I'm happy to have learned about the Salt HUD, which I didn't konw about. Forums are about sharing and cooperation. Threads do not belong solely to those who originated them.

I see no evidence that Rohan doesn't have a good command of English. You asked for someone to give you prims of certain sizes. We interpret that to mean that you need prims of certain sizes. Rohan provides a solution enabling you to obtain prims of certain sizes. This does not seem like a non-sequitur response to me.

In any case, we are baffled as to why you're unsatisfied with Rohan's suggestion.

BTW, Rohan -- thanks for the post; I'm sure I'll find the Salt HUD useful.

Folks, Zena's posts are generally polite, helpful, and well-informed. She often gives help and rarely asks for it.

The Salt HUD does not have any matches for 128 x 128 with a z-axis more than 0.5. There are 128 x 128 x 0.5's available.

There is an old Gene Replacement Mega Prim that is 128 x 128 x 1. You should be able to find it if you look for "140 or so Full Permission Prims" in search.
