Alright, I have seen AO's out there that no matter the heigth of the fall, they over ride the landing, getting rid of that annoying splat animation.
First, does that depend on the landing animation and what priority it is?
Second, how do I get rid of my splat?!
I am using the ZHAO II customized to my taste.

I'd love to know that too. I tried replacing the 'standup' (which appears to include the 'splat') with something else, but it doesn't cover it entirely, so the settings must not match.

I think there's a line for 'hard landing' or something similar on AO notecards, but I can't check from work. I always assumed that one was the 'splat.'

I think once upon a time, Torley said to tap the space bar. Wearing a flight feather might be helpful too. Really don't know for sure but you might want to give it a try.

It's called 'hard landing' or 'standing up' depending on which AO you're using. And because of how AOs work, and depending on the sim you're in, the override may not kick in immediately, so you might see the default animation play for a bit. As explained in the thread that Beverly linked to
