Summer's over and I'm decorating my yard for Halloween... I started off looking for dead trees and decided to go off on a tangent instead (or maybe later). Basically, I'm looking for alien plants, the weirder the better. (Erm, PG though, please. I'm not quite THAT adventurous.)
I remembered seeing some at Yeti Bing and Yoa Ogee's shop, but when I dropped by there last night they appeared to be reorganizing and the plant section was empty. (Must drop them a line...)
I spent a few hours scoping out Grendel's Children. They deal mostly in avatars, but I found some great mushrooms in the Misc section and some trees in the Homes section I thought maybe I could recolor, but it turns out the leaves were green-on-alpha, so I can really only tint them.
Search turned up nearly 200 garden centers, but none of the ones I visited were quite what I was looking for.
Of course, I could start building my own, but I'm hoping some other forumites have suggestions for where to start looking. I'd rather prims/sculpties than alpha-textured plants, but I'm open to looking at most anything.
Any suggestions? I'm off to try some new search terms at SLX...
