Hi I am looking for a smooth vehicle script for a rowing boat and for a sailing boat , I need it to be quite realistic in the movements and the turns and about the sail version to get the wind and move accordingly for speed .... is anyone able to tell me where to find this or who to ask for it?

The flying Tako Sailboat script is fair much the fountainhead when it comes to realistic (i.e. uses the wind) sailboat design in Second Life.

I'll send you a copy of the freebie "Sail Boat" script (which ignores wind). It's not fancy, but in a way that's a good thing if you wish to modify it to your ends. _____________________

Thankyou , do u know how can I coordinate a rowing animation with for example rows hitting thew water and a movement that folows sort like of steps movement according to the row peace .... dunno if I was clear lol , but I meant u know the movement of a row boat with that kind of stepping smooth fowarding of the boat and particles evfect that come with it ....
I am good at sculpting and creating but I dunno how to animate or script .... not yet at least.... |

I am good at sculpting and creating but I dunno how to animate or script .... not yet at least.... Qavimator will help. Take measure of the basic heights etc so you can make a blocky model up in Qavimator if you worry about accuracy. Try the beta grid SL browser, it will hook you up to a basic SL grid that is separate from main grid with unlimited uploads to test animations, textures ect. The oars would have particle effects put into the ends (either paddle prim or in a clear textured prim in the best position to get the effect) and you may be able to make it switch on the oar out of the water using a llGet pos or rotation so it changes to dripping ect. |

Hello I am working on the boat script for the rowboat starting from the free boat script , but I can't get to stop the boat after I release the pressing of the W key , how can I do that so that the boat slowly stops after I stop pressing W?
plus how can I insert 4 animations according to the action the boat does like stand , move foward trun left or right and go back? |

Like Virrginia said.. this forum is for asking people to make stuff for you based on a contract. If you want to do it yourself you are better off posting in the scripting tips forum or the animator forum or the texturing forum......
