Can anyone advise whether there's a product that will solve this particular problem? I work with an animator friend, scripting some of her products, and take a percentage of the sale price of products on which I've worked, but not, of course, on products to which I have made no contribution. Nice and simple, normally -- a vendor knows what it's just given a customer and, if it's one of my items, gives me a cut when it makes the sale. However, my friend has recently started selling gift cards, so people can give these to friends to use in her shop, and none of the systems we've seen offer any way of keeping track of what people buy with them. She knows when she sells a L$1000 gift card, but has no idea what it used to buy. Can anyone recommend a system that would help us out? Tracking purchase automatically would be favourite, of course, but even being able to do it manually would do.

Hi Innula
I'll have a web based reporting system out very soon. Currently the Grab & Go systems feature an email based sales reporting system however we are moving towards a comprehensive web based accounting system. Grab & Go is more than 18 months old and was designed in a retail environment. Feel free to contact me in world.

Another possible idea that I've seen some shops do is allow giftcards, but don't allow them to automatically purchase items. Something along the lines where they have to IM the owner with what they want to purchase, how much the giftcards worth..some have you send the actual giftcard in the IM to make sure it's the right amount. Then when the owner gets it, they send out the product and transactions done. So that way you'd know what exactly was purchased and whatnot. Could hold you over until you get the tracker you want.
