Best platonic hug

I have tried searching, but "hug" or "hugs" gets me irrelevant junk.

I bought the LostDogs one, but I can't get it to work.

The best one i have seen (and the one which i use) is Meike TM* Hug & Kiss 2.0 Deluxe. you can get it from Xstreet or inworld at their shop.

Is there an instruction notecard that came with your Lostdog hug tool, or inside the building window "contents" tab? That would be the place to start. It may be set up on a channel other than /1 or require a different chat command than the free huggers, this should be explained in the notecard.

I would advise to try to get your Lostdog tool working, before moving on to buying another tool.

I have tried both commands. I don't understand the "partner" part.

I have IM'd the creator but he has not gotten back to me.

Sorta knew that Huddles (which I have) had hug feature. Did not realize it was a full, interactive one. Duh. Went to in-world group, which helped me use. Yay.

Glad you found a hug that works for you.

However, I would hope that you could eventually sort out the problem with the Lostdog tool, as you must have paid for that as well.

I'm puzzled by the 'partner' message too, it's not very clear. You could wear the tool and try typing /1help or /1menu, sometimes that makes a scripted item spit out a help notecard.

To eliminate one error possibility (forgive me if this is obvious, but you never know)... when you type the command in chat, you need to remove the [].

Example: "/1hug Jane" *NOT* "/1hug [Jane]"

With regard to contacting any creator, it's always a good idea to follow up your IM with a Notecard, because IM's are often capped and IM-to-email often doesn't work. Be sure to name the Notecard clearly so the creator will know what it is.

Example: "Product Question: [productname]"

Good hints. Yeah. I had done all those things, including sending note. He says in his xstreet ad that he is only inworld on weekends. So, I hope it gets resolved.
