Is there a possibility of buying protected land?

okay , let me explain my situation, my group own currently about 98% of the free land in livigno. this sim is 100% mountain and has no roads or any linden builds; however it is crossed by a protected land strip that go from one side to the other.

this strip is annoying as it basically force us to use 2 half sims to build instead of one full parcel. the sim is limited in terraforming to +-4 meters , this mean the strip as preserving landscape is USELESS (i can't alterate it enough anyway with +-4 meter terraforming)

what i am asking, is there a possibility to buy these 5000 sqm of land that form the protected land of livigno, and if not, please could you explain me precisely the reason.

Cause currently i see no reasons for linden labs to keep this strip of land that serve no purpose but jeopardizing our sim building ideas.

Hello Kyrah. Protected land is not for sale. It serves to either protect a landscape or provide a right of way though a region. Protected land may or may not have an actual road, but it is always available to all SL residents to use as an unrestricted travel lane.
