It's been four months now, and not a peep about this. Every other forums in the world is capable of handling this, yet we had it taken away and still don't have it back!
This is something that just becomes more annoying over time, and I think four months is long enough to have patience on it. What is the explanation? coco

I'd love to hear more on this, too..
If it really is, as some people have speculated, some kind of phishing exploit, maybe LL could at least look at turning the php tags back on - I think that's just a font change...

Agreed, the only tag that should be at risk of anything is /possibly/ the tag and [img]tag.

From: Draco18s Majestic The odd thing is, the occational URL actually gets changed. That's people playing with img tags to get it to show up like a clickable url.. Hasn't worked for me for a while - whenever somebody tries that trick, I just see a broken image icon.

Actually, the My understanding is that it is based on an exploit, but upgrading the forum software is lower priority than other work. But I agree, this is really a nuisance. Vote for the Jira entry!

Torley's on vacation. http://torley.com/im-out-of-the-officeStrife's Greasemonkey code makes the forums appear normally in the meantime. For Firefox, anyway... /327/b2/188445/1.html

Vote for the Jira entry! That stopped working a while ago for me, using IE7. Now I just see the broken image icon. No, I don't want to change browers or OS'.

No, I don't want to change browers or OS'. IE7 isn't that great though...It still has the same 47 bugs that IE had, only *gasp* it supports .png transparency and has better support of CSS, but it still has 47 bugs. (On the other paw, FireFox has maybe 1) And by bugs I mean it interprets HTML/CSS/pictures incorrectly.

You guys are almost as entertaining as the *nix ones who start foaming at the mouth any time somebody mentions Microsoft.

i really like opera. i wish it were more accepted, since it complies with w3c standards and is faster. oh no, i fell right into the "change the thread from whatever it was supposed to be about, to browser fan club wars".

Yeah! If the so-called Lindens (if that is in fact their *real* name) cannot get this fixed soon, then all the PAYING CUSTOMERS will cancel their VATS!!!

You guys do realize don't you that as far as the lindens are concerned the forums are a dead horse. They have the shiney new blog to ignore us on now they could care less about the forums and don't read them. There is just one or two mods thinking they are hot shots moving posts around.
