The story behind "Hearts Desire" is an online love story.
The closure of this shoppe is due to the "happy ending" of this online love story.
We opened "Hearts Desire" in spring 2005 in hopes of making some money to save up for us to meet. Thanks to so many nice people in Second Life our shoppe became known, and we were able to make an income. We decided not to spend any of this money, but to save every penny up so that we could meet. During our last months in the game, we had already reached our goal ( a set amount of money ) and we then donated all excess funds to a club called "Club X" which ended up closing down not long after. We picked up where the old "Club X" left off and opened "Club Desires" in order to keep the nice people we met from Club X employed. We did this for as long as we could, just for fun. However, since we have been away from the game, with no new designs, we were having less sales, and therefore could not offer to continue to fund the club, without it coming out of our little savings we had set aside as our "love money" that we planned to use to meet. So, we first closed the club, and then decided after that it was unfair to our customers to have a shoppe open in the game, without us actively attending to it, attending to the returns, customer comments, suggestions and all of the other commitments we had made prior to deciding to close. The overwhelming "JOB" of "Hearts Desire" seemed no longer worth the effort, as we were never in this job to make money as an "income" but merely to make some money in order to afford to "meet".
For now, this goal has been met, and there is no longer any reason for us to continue making some money here in SL. At least for now.
Joe and I met in January 2005, fell in love and have been inseperable since. The birth of "Hearts Desire" was from my desire to see him produce products in Second Life from which he could raise some money for us to meet. This was always our goal.
We've reached our goal.

To Palomma Casanova for her continued friendship and support and to all the others out there that reached out to assist us. A very special thank you to Jaqueline of "Whackies" for making us a "Joe The Vampire Bear" Whackie that helped us raise funds to meet as well. A huge hug to Obscuro of "Transylvania Empire" for his friendship and encouragement, as well as to Versu for just being there when I had questions about anything. And to everyone on my buddy list for which I have more then 400 cards.. thank you always and forever.
Thank you everyone... and Thank you Second Life for the opportunity you have given us. This is going to be a long process, as most of you know our love affair spans from USA to the UK and with many issues blocking us from being together ( it's not as easy as you may think ) we will try our best to get back to the "game" as soon as we can. Until then.. wish us luck!
