Anyone live in the Raleigh/Durham area that could give a bit of an overview to what it's like to live there?

I'm seriously considering moving there and would like to know what it's like. I've visited briefly but would like to get a run down on the day to days of being there. Employment, housing, entertainment, weather...all these types of things.

Thanks in advance for anything you can share.

Trinnie

Have gone up there and visited a couple summers for extended periods. Was staying at Duke at the time in the dorms.

It's beautiful country. Very rural out and around Chapel Hill, yet close enough to the towns and shops that everything's in walking distance. The inner city is a bit more urban, but with some nice scenics just out of city limits, I suspect it'd be worthwhile living in there as well.

Not sure what housing values are like, but my impression was extremely positive. It's definitely the sort of place I'd find myself moving to if I had a choice right now.
