Hi Guys! I have a last minute update for the Exploratorium Eclipse Exhibit. The event will no longer be held in NMC Campus as indicated by the ads (the NMC apologizes, but with the sim build in an incomplete state, they have decided to keep the island closed for the time being) I will be replacing that sim with Midnight City. So... Exploratorium Eclipse Simulcast 2am SLT on Wed March 29 Lukanida, Fame, and MIDNIGHT CITY...NOT NMC CAMPUSIf you don't know already, this event will be a fun simulcast of a RL solar eclipse happening in Side, Turkey... http://secondlife.com/events/event.php?id=182465&date=1143619200http://www.exploratorium.edu/eclipse/2006/index.html

I proclaim that this exhibit, upon inspection, is grade A cool.

Well it is the middle of the freaking night, but I updated the message on the banner ad to indicate that NMC had been replaced with Midnight City I am trying to stay awake for this thing but I'm not sure I can, it is incredibly inconvenient for those of us IN THE WESTERN FREAKING HEMISPHERE Good luck with the event <3 Do you have camping chairs?

Tried to watch it in Fame but was having trouble with SL's streaming so watched it online. Aimee, you got a nice shout-out at the end of the broadcast which was nice to hear!

From: Siobhan Taylor Very odd, I live in the western hemisphere too, and it was just before lunchtime here... I know I was being sarcastic, since people from that side of the world complain about event times frequently, plus it is not like you can move when an eclipse occurs.

Hehe okies... it's a good thing I didn't start ranting about Americans demanding the eclipse be moved then, LOL... And anyway, us Europeans get shafted too when it comes to events.

Got some nice press on msnbc... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12045500/From: MSNBC It turns out that the Exploratorium is going to stream the real total solar eclipse into the virtual world of Second Life. A Web developer actually created a 2nd-century Roman theater similar to where we're going to be in Side, with a virtual projection screen," Exploratorium spokeswoman Leslie Patterson told MSNBC.com. (Second Lifers can experience the event at three virtual locations: Fame, NMC Campus or Lukanida.) A Web developer?!?! Not exactly correct but would have been better if they just called me "Aimee Weber" LOL!
