Star Gazers & Cloud Watchers,

A new group has formed which seeks to organize and present a list of feature requests and possible ways of implementing said features into Second Life. These feature requests will be centered around environmental and astrological aspects of Second Life. Anyone interested in the increase of environmental and astrological effects in Second Life is welcome to join as well as anyone interested in theoretical meteorology.

The first meeting of the group takes place at Neualtenburg Weather Archives (Search under Find-> Places for weather) on Wednesday 30th November at 3pm PST. Meetings will take place weekly there after.

Please join the "Second Life Weather Service" in Groups if you are interested or Instant Message Cid Jacobs for further details.

Sincerely,
Cid Jacobs

Good point.

CODE

{
state_entry()
{
string name = "Your SL weather prediction";
llSetText(name, <1.0, 1.0, 1.0>, 1.0);
llSetObjectName(name);
llSetTimerEvent(60.0);
}

timer()
{
llSay(0, "72 degrees Fahrenheit, partly cloudy, winds wildly variable but totally irrelevant.");
}
}

Good point.

I had a complete no-show today, which is cool. It just means I'm a lone nut. So I think I'll lay off my environmental crusade for a good while, at least until there is more interest in it.

So.... hot out today, hot out everyday. :rolleyes:

Sincerely,
Cid Jacobs

A forecast divided...

In Guinard, Palace, and Difford, plague.
In the kingdoms of Wessex, Sussex, Essex and Kent, plague.
In Mercia, and the two Anglias, plague,
with a 50% chance of pestilence and famine,
coming out of the Northeast at twelve miles per hour.

=SV, channeling a historian from someplace. :D
