Greetings!

Just a notice to all SLBoutique.com sellers; you may notice some funkyness in notifications and payments. The short version is that everything is working fine on our end, but SL has been borked; here's the detailed version:

(1) Offline IM to email is completely borked. Much of the time, offline IM to emails are not going through at all, and sometimes, they're coming through as much as 24 hours late. I've notified LL. Replies to offline IMs are also failing quite often.

(2) This would make it look like you're not getting a payment, but in fact, you are. Its just the notification is coming very late.

(3) The in-world Account History is completely useless; it lists any payment made from an object to you (as SLBoutique payments are) appear as "Unknown Transaction". This is an issue I've brought to LL's attention for over a year, but nothing has been done to resolve the issue. A simple link from the SL program to the web's transactions page would do the trick, yet it still has never happened.

(4) To verify you have received all payments, follow these steps: (a) Go to www.SLBoutique.com (b) log in to your SLB account (c) click ACCOUNT INFORMATION (d) click ACCOUNT HISTORY

(5) Next, (e) Go to www.SecondLife.com and click MY ACCOUNT in the upper right hand corner. (f) Log in if necessary. (g) Click TRANSACTIONS on the right hand navigation (this is the only useful account history - the in world one is useless as it provides no detail). (h) Compare payments from Commerce Leader to the sales listed on the SLBoutique.com account history page.

Sorry this is such a difficult process, but its the only way to verify payments. Thanks for understanding; we've been petitioning Linden Lab for some time to fix the in-world account history, or, at the least, provide a link to the TRANSACTIONS page on the web from Second Life itself (like they used to do with LindeX). When releases are unstable as 1.9 has been, it makes our job a nightmare; thanks for bearing with us.

Regards,

-FlipperPA & the SLBoutique.com Team

Gee, this doesn't sound at all like what happened to GOM when LL decided they wanted to be the US$ to L$ exchange. I'm glad that LL isn't planning on taking over the web catalog sales space to gain additional revenue. That would be sad.

I knew that was coming! Philip never should have mentioned that particular Linden Lab employee "perk". :D

I honestly don't think its that; they system has just always been that inept and never been addressed. Also, the offline IM issue which is making this cause me more than a few hours a week is affecting evreyone in world.

I'm just getting tired of asking for this over and over as it costs me - and Electric Sheep - hours per week in explanations that shouldn't need to be made if the system worked properly.

-Flip
