I had a serious problem with Gypsy Moon last night. My sim crashed, then when it came back online no one was able to walk or move. Preference setting adjustments for physics etc. and restarting was not helping to resolve the problem, neither did deactivating scripts, physics etc.

I looked to see which Lindens were on to ask for ask that they submit a request for someone at LL to resolve the problem and was surprised to see our Community Manager, Pathfinder Linden was online. Since he states in his profile that his job is to facilitate better communication between the membership and Linden Lab, I messaged him with a summary explanation of the problem, hoping he would pass on my request for assistance to someone in house that could help.

I waited for a reply from him, any reply...any acknowledgement. I waited...and waited...and waited.....and waited.....and waited....for a very long time. He remained online, probably setting up some creations made by other members on his land. I waited longer and still no reply or acknowledgement that I had messaged him, nor was there any "busy" auto reply sent back to me.

I looked at the directory again and saw Nicole Linden was online and messaged her. What a gem! She replied immediately as she always does. I explained my problem on Gypsy and she came immediately to my sim to help. Nicole confirmed the problem was with the sim and not my computer or connection, restarted my sim on her side and adjusted a few settings. Gypsy was all fixed within 10 minutes!!

So here is a grateful warm ty for the always very pleasant and friendly Nicole Linden who once again showed she is a real asset to the LL staff. As for our community manager whose job it is to facilitate communication between LL and the membership...well I left him a message thanking him for his input, yeah right. I also left him a message saying I thought it was a good idea for the community manager charged with facilitating communication between the membership and LL to at least reply when messaged.

Oh, someone saying maybe Pathfinder was busy or afk? OK maybe he was busy for ALL that time that I waited for a reply, but I receive offline IMs in email. It's been more than 12 hours and no reply was sent to me yet. Bottom line, if you want to be part of the community management team charged with making communication with the membership better, then you have to deal with the membership. If you are too busy, or dont want to deal with the general membership, or whatever, then get another job.
