Even Content Creation Forums too?????

WHY?? There is nothing wrong with allowing the SL residents that use and create SL, an objective that I believe is at the heart of the Second Life, to communicate in the Content Creation Forums. Builders, Scripters, etc etc, we use those forums to touch base with each other, help newbs learn the 'tricks of the trade', in general, we HELP each other there!!! How is taking that away a good "turn"? Show me ONE of your blogs where you do this. Show me ONE blog where we can interact and share ideas and tips on how to improve our SL experience. This is really the direction that LL wants to take SL? I've been in SL nearly since Beta, I don't troll the forums, but I DO use them for a source of information and a way to gain help from my fellow builders when the need arises. I would request that at least the Content Creation Forums be left intact.

Content Creation forums have an open-ended future. We will see how things go during the dynamics of closing forums; we DO want to keep them around for as long as possible, and we DO want to leverage the useful things there like tutorials and make them MORE useful in ADDITION to the forums. For example, our new Developer Resources page, which has info picked from the forums:

At the same time--*not* replacing but as a supplement--we're hoping to boost content creation assistance within Second Life itself. Some of you may have noticed steps such as Lumiere Noir's Ivory Tower of Primitives now being a Linden Location. As inworld tutorials get better, as we can browse webpages inworld, etc. this will all get increasingly exciting--and HELPFUL. =^_^=
