Who controls ANNOYING resmods? Need an 'sl answer' Just got spammed by one three times inworld..where I wasn't so it went to my email. Actually thought it was an important msg from a customer, so I missed a call getting to it. It turned out to be a Linden Lab resmod, someone called [edited]? Now this or another area...may NOT be the place to put this, but let folks know in the private msg NOT inworld. I understand some resmods are wonderful aids to ordering data inforum..but some seem like overzealous Linden Lab lapdogs. SO...to LL.. the folks famous for NOT answering pointed questions...WHO controls these resmods?

Hey again Margot! I've got some clarifications for ya: * Please don't "name names" in a personal dispute on the forums. The forum Guidelines say: Private discussions – the forums are a public area for the Second Life community’s use. Individuals who have a dispute with each other have other channels of communication to discuss their differences or communicate – private messaging, IM within Second Life, or chatting within Second Life. Also, threads that are addressed to a single individual or group are inappropriate on the forums, this includes slander or "naming names" in a posts title, starting polls about a particular resident or group, etc.
In any case, that Resident is not a ResMod. We have several types of volunteers who help out greatly; find out more on the Volunteer page. * Being "annoying" in itself isn't necessarily abuse unless it escalates to repeated harassment and derogatory language trashing someone else's self-worth, or somesuch thing. You can always mute someone (VIEW menu > MUTED RESIDENTS) so you don't hear from them--and in Second Life 1.10, mute extends to include teleport offers and object transfers. The Community Standards details what's abuse. Abuse reports are sent inworld from HELP menu > REPORT ABUSE. Hope this helps.
