Anyone surprised? I mostly don't mind inconveniences and I usually am understanding of problems cropping up with "unforseen" problems. But, lately, SL has had numerous "unforseen" problems. The technical issues and their explanations mean little to me. I'm no programmer and don't want to be one. What I do want is for a game that I pay for to work (and to work reasonably reliably) with only massive and really unusual interruptions. The issues seem to always be the same...some vague talk about "log in" or some such stuff. It would be nice if we knew the real issue.........poor programming? Or maybe poor security to protect that programming? I can't believe that Linden Labs is not smart enough to get it right.........but I can believe that Linden Labs might put out untested software in an effort to "keep the crowds quiet" ( a "look, we are trying" sort of thing). I'm not going to quit the game.............yet. But, I'm not going to promise I will continue either. I wouldn't pay my local gardener for a maintenance program on my yard if he constantly had "issues about delivering the fertilzer" he needed to maintain my lawn.............and, I bet you wouldn't either. Just get it right and fix it. I pay premium at a quarterly rate........I deserve more than "some unforeseen problem has come up and we must log you off so we can fix it". Once, twice, three times.........oh how you beg for our understanding.
Please understand your customers. And one other thing. In this forum I can not reply to threads. I can in other forums. Why is that? I used to be able to reply here............was I out of line somewhere along the line? I can't think of anything I might have said that would make that the answer. So I'm curious.
Thanks,
Peggy
