Hi Digital - welcome to Second Life :)

Before you go ahead and buy that land, you may want to know that newcomers can buy First Land, one time only. You can buy 512sqm of land for L$512 which is very cheap indeed. Once you own that land, you can sell it for more than you paid for it, the amount depending on its location.

There are two types of land - PG and Mature. In PG there is no sex or nudity or supposedly swearing and it is cheaper than mature, where anything goes. Pretty much all clubs are in mature land.

To see what land is for sale, click on the map on the bottom of the page when you are in world, and click on the tab at the top which says Land for Sale. All land being sold by auction by LL is in purple and land being sold by a resident is white. LL tend to sell in large amounts of land, which some people buy and break it down into smaller plots.

I suggest you click on Land on the Community page of the website and read all you can about it. It will also tell you how much US$ a month you will have to pay in tier. Ie 512sqm is free of tier, and increases after that. For example 1024sqm will cost you US$5 and it increases all the way up to a whole sim which costs US$200 a month. If you own more land, even by a small amount, over the tier level, you will pay the next tier.

Good luck in your search but don't forget the special first land offer. Its a once only chance to buy the cheapest land you will ever buy.
