Definition of Land and Property

I was reading about the new classifieds section under the "Find" menu and saw that there are entries for "Land Rentals" and "Property Rentals". Is "property" simply defined as land with preexisting structures?

Ulrika, I'm fairly certain that "Land" and "Property" are opiates of the people and a form of mass distraction and mass psychosis perpetrated by the exploitative "land baron" classs on the backs of teh ppl.

"Proprty" is one of those bourgeous vestiges that we need to re-educate out of teh ppl. Teh ppl often don't know what is best for them. The idea that there is something called "mine" that might be for "resale" is one of those horrid bourgeous capitalistic notions that should have been eradicated in the last century, if not the century before that, and Lord knows, they killed enough people trying to get rid of that really awful idea of "mine" and "my stuff".

If you mean to look at it in purely game terms, landowners are wondering why there is still no place to advertise deeded parcels on private sims there! Were you wondering that? You are banned from advertising them on the land for sale list now literally by the game mechanisms. You could put it under "land rentals" but -- are you trying to call a deeded offering a land rental? That seems a bit unfair, no? You could put it under "property rentals" if yes, it has structures on it.

I get perplexed by these things because I offer the option of taking the house off the land if you want to change it and put your own house. So I'm renting land. But it has a house on it you might rent with the land. Well, I"m going to try sending the ads in now in different categories, let's run that up the flag pole and see if anybody salutes, shall we?

I think it was done to make the words deliberately obtuse.

Seems ok to me. Land Rentals are deals you simply rent the land and can build on it or whatever. Property Rentals are deals involving prebuilt structures such as a home or business or mall shop.

In fact, if you look at the classified forums:

Land Sales and Rentals - List available land

Property Sales and Rentals - List available apartments, buildings, shops and kiosks

Seems pretty straight forward to me...
