can i donate or sell a little extra land to bring my land down to 512 sq. m and avoid land fees?

Hi Donna, No the 512 is the starting fee the Lindens start with. If you don’t want the land and want to not pay anything and go to basic...just release the land you have to the Lindens with the about land window.

Yes, you can cut back on the amount of land you own by either releasing it for free or selling it. However, even just with 512 m you'll still be paying $10/month. Hope that helps

Below is info from the LL land FAQ. If you own 512sqm you do not pay tier, only if you increase the amount.

Beyond the initial 512 meters covered by your Premium account, this chart shows the monthly cost of owning the following additional amounts of land. It also shows how many objects you can build on that amount of land. For example if you pay a total of US$15 - $10 for Premium and $5 for extra land - then you can own a total of 1024 square meters and build up to 234 objects.

I differ in as much as I would sell the 512sqm of land rather than release it back to LL. Even if you sell for 3k that is a good profit.

Hahaha, everybody says the same thing but a little bit periphrastic because of Donna's way to ask.

A. Yes.

Q. Can I avoid land fees if I do above?
A. No. Because your Premium account has already included 512msq land fee.
But as everybody is guessing, Donna didn't ask such a thing. She doesn't just want to pay any extra fee. She would not have to pay any extra fee when she had just 512 sqm as she wanted.
