Why do i not get the amount of land for the group that i deeded????
I deeded 8704sqm to my group and my wife deeded 1536.
In my book 8704+1536=10240 but according to the group info we only have 9744sqm.
Has anybody else experienced it or does someone know why that is??
I talked to various ppl (including some lindens) but it isnt solved yet.

If anyone has some ideas about it i would like to hear them.

Do either of you own non-group land and might be short on teir for it by 496m?

No not to my knowing. We both are on the max what our tier allows. and we deeded all the land we own.

sorry to hear :(

have you tryed reloging? that does wonders! also try experimenting, and seeing if you can alocate to another group and recontribute to the group you want, play around and see what happens.

by deeded, you mean "made contribution" ?

In the group menu of thepie chart, under the land tab-
that is where the land alocation to the group needs to be set.

deeding the land is done on the land itself, when a person deeds the land to his / her group- in that case you would want to deed to group, MAKE SURE THE PROPER GROUP IS "ACTIVE". then also do the other one, I forget what its called but it gives the group your land alocation for that parcels m2.

I checked if we deeded it to another group but we havent. its all in this one group. Well not all of it we still miss that 496sqm. If we look under the group info it says i donated 8704sqm and
my wife 1536sqm and the land in use is 9744sqm and the bonus (we can still buy for the group) is 1520. but shouldnt it say 10240sqm for the groupland???? I am confused hahahah

Not just that, but you should also be getting 10% MORE land because of the grouped land benefit.

not really getting 10% but you can buy 10% more with the buy for group option.
And i figured it out now i think. My wife only had 1040sqm and she donated the remaining 496 from her free 512 (for being a premium member) to the group but that is virtual land since she only owns 1040. and now the figures make sense again my 8704 plus her 1040 makes 9744sqm. So i told her take 496sqm of the donation and buy that much land and then donate it. Only thing i still dont get is what use is it to donate land which isnt added to the actual group land????

Tier and land are separate things. Your wife donated 1040m2 of land and 1536m2 of tier to the group. The 496m2 is not virtual land. It's just unused tier.

Not sure if this helps. :) Reply if I can clarify. I just don't want to spend a lot of time explaining something that you may have already understood. :)

Oh, and let me say something about getting that additional 496m2 of land for the group.

It might not be the best thing for her to buy the land and then donate it to the group. It might be better for her to buy the land for the group directly.

Let's say that I have 496m2 of unused tier. That's the amount of land I could buy.

Now, suppose that I donate that tier to the group. The group gets the 10% bonus, so the group can own 496 + 0.1 * 496 = 496 + 49 = 545. So the group can own 545m2 by virtue of the 10% tier bonus.

So, if I wanted the group to own as much land as possible, I would donate my tier to the group and then buy 545m2 of land for the group. This is an option in the Land dialog "Buy for Group". Note: only officers of the group can buy for group. When you press this button, SL checks to make sure that the group has enough tier to support the land your buying, so it won't let you buy more than the group can support.
