If I remember correctly, Umber originally sold for L$64,321 a year ago, as 63,000-odd meters.

Now I heard (can't get logged in to confirm) that it's been broken up into approximately 8 islands each going for L$40,000+.

That's quite the appreciation in value in a little over a year. Someone's doing something right :D

Oooh, yes, last I checked, the islands are of different sizes and going from L$40,000 (for 4096 m^2) to L$160,000 (for 16385 m^2). They are humorously described as "Feted Inner Core Sim :-P", and will thus be representative of a true digital zeitgeist.

I dont see them selling at that price, since if you buy there your neighbor can screw you over and we know that Private estate sims are the best way to live :) $10 per m2 is a little pricey these days with the current land glut.

Sounds like it was undervalued.

It's increased in value by being divided into beautiful islands and terraformed and replanted nicely.

I'm willing to bet it will sell faster than, say, similar islands I've seen in Honister which still remain pancaked and unplanted.

People like to own their own land, and they will pay for that privilege.

The value of Umber may have enjoyed some appreciation because of all the time I spent there. It currently kinda smells like Aimee.
