Land Pass

Anyone using Land Passes succesfully and if so how and where?

When looking at the Economics spreadsheets it looks like there is some sort of Land Pass income/trade happening, but I can't see where or how.

PS. If you aren't using it for a good reason that would be interesting to know as well.

I used a Land Pass only once. I tried to deed land for group use but the group didn't take it. So I set it up anyway and made it for group only, but then changed my mind and said others could pay L$5 to get in for an hour.

Nobody ever paid. People would just join the group and get in that way.

When I built my skyboxes I realized they were hard enough to get into without a scripted flight device, that a land pass was pointless.

Hmm ... they don't appear to be much use then

I've come into contact with a land pass lot only once. I was flying around somewhat low and very fast. When I slowed down a sec I found I was inside a building with no where to go but down.

I went down only to find out I couldn't go there because the land required a pass. So here I was stuck between where the land permissions kick in and the ceiling, feeling much like a fly buzzing at a window wondering why it can't go much furter.

I ended up asking a not-so-stuck nearby friend to teleport me out of there.

That is my one and only encounter with a land pass lot. If it was cheap enough I'd have no probs paying a pass for someplace I knew was good or at least presented an interesting idea. So like a theme sim where there's lots of eye candy scenery I'd pay to explore or maybe an art gallery or something like that. But it would have to be something affordable hehe.
