Greetingz folks

There's been a lot of talk recently about the fall of the sky.. errr, I mean the drop of the GOM rate.

So to lighten the mood a little here's a quick quiz to sort the noobs from the fic

Amazon Nations will donate a prize of L$1000 to the funniest, scariest, stoopidest, whatever answer. All judging will be done by me.

A bonus prize of L$500 for the first CORRECT answer. Yes, there IS a correct answer...

So on to the questions...

Below is a graph of actuall GOM trades from the past 6 months or so. 7 points are marked, what happened at those points?
List you answers A).... B)... etc..

Closing date is midday Monday 9th (British Summer Time).

Each one of those points represents the actual day, or 48 hours within, the release of a new game patch to Second Life, i.e. a new numbered version of the software for the game.

Come on guys, this is a genuine quiz... There is L$1000 for the silliest/funniest answers and L$500 if you get the 'correct' answers.

All the 'correct' answers are available in the forums, either here or the GOM forums, so there's no excuse of 'I'm not old enough'.

Well that was a bit of a pathetic response, only 11 replies and no one attempted the 'correct' answers...

So with little to choose from, I decided this was the funniest answer and wins L$1000.

For anyone that is interested the correct answers...

A) GOM changes from 250 L$ per block to 1000, chaos for 3 days as people struggle to multiply prices by 4...

B) GOM offers Xmas 'bonus' and cuts global commision rate from 3% to 3c/block, spread narrows from 3% to 3c...

C) GOM announces new 'trader discount tiers', price takes a dive as people rush to sell to make the quota by month end. (3 days away)

D) Economic forum by Philip, announces the demise of event support and reduction of the rating bonus.

E) Rating older than 6 months are removed, alternative answer, L$ fraud on Ebay

F) New continent (Discovered in the north by Magelan) goes on sale.

G) Fist fight over advertising 'private sim plots' in public 'land for sale' lists, Anshe cashes out spare L$ as Linden Lab announces "It's a bug"

Nobody bothered to get the correct answers, so no prize awarded.
