I have purchased a parcel fo land and I am curious as to controling access to it. I would like to allow anyone who wants to, to visit, but I want to limit building on the property to only a few certain people. What's the right combination of set-up parms to allow me to do this? I HAVE set up a group, just in case that would help in getting this accomplished. Thanking you in advance for your help!

Create/Edit items ON Set land to group (do not DEED land, just set the group in the general tab) Ensure people building do so only when wearing the group tag (group is active) The auto return will only affect items not set to the group. _____________________

Set land to group (do not DEED land, just set the group in the general tab) Ensure people building do so only when wearing the group tag (group is active This is really, really, really important advice. It's not something that you can understand right away because how could you know that "group owner" and "set to group" can be completely different groups? It took me a long time to come to this understanding and to believe in it. But it does work. You can have a group owner of a land. You can have another group that you put "set to group". Then you can sweep the land of prims that aren't the group owners or that group that you set to. I'm fairly certain how that works. This information isn't in the Groups WIKI and it's important. Because obviously a parcel could be accidently deeded when really the intention was only to have a group project. |

I'm fairly certain how that works. I wish that worked. Maybe I'm missing something. From my experience, when you make land group-owned, there is no way to set the group of the land to anything other than the group that owns it. It shows up as: Owner: (Group Owned) Group: Name of group [Set button disabled] I would love to be able to do something like this: Owner: [group1] Group: [group2] but I haven't found a way to do it. If someone knows how, please enlighten me. ![]() _____________________
