I just noticed that south-east of the mainland there are 70 new sims + 12 water sims that connects them to the mainland.
I guess it is the wholesale thingy. It will be very interesting too see how that goes. So far the sims are just flat, green and boring.
Oh, and on a completely different subject: While I was there, I noticed that my av scanner doesn't pick up the Linden that was there. I never noticed that before.

Yes on that point I was able to purchase nearly 9,000 square metres of land on the mainland, directly fronting out to the new land with Gov Lindon protected water as a sea view. Have lots of waterfront with plenty of depth with about I think nearly 2,000 prims Would be interested in further developing it with another more experianced AV. Please let me know on this BB or IM me if any interest

...and 4 weeks later The value of waterfront property will be down the drain with the rest, cause people have created 70 news, of which 65 are waterfronts. Those can be split between 50 new users...

It's truly spooky to think what might happen when 30 new sims enter the land market at exactly the same time.

Those can be split between 50 new users... Well I have not got the time to read through all the forum posts on new land today as I also have a real life business to run. But I would say in my own opinion that Lindon would hardly develop all those new sims and water without a reasonably sure market for them, that is standard business practice in First Life. Of course Lindon may have taken leave of their commercial business sense but somehow I doubt it, no disrespect intended to anyone Regards Paul

Those can be split between 50 new users... In a world where the land around you is transformable and could be added to or subtracted from at any time, one would be a fool to assume more of a desireable type of land will not appear. That is one of the beauties of SL... there can always be more of a desireable resource. Land scarcity is a non-issue. Indeed, there might be 65 new waterfronts, and if it is done right, it will look awesome, and there will be many new very happy owners of waterfront property. So? Should waterfront property owners go after LL for reparations like the telehub landowners did? Rediculous. Buy land because of its value to YOU, not because of preceived resale value. Buying land for any other reason will only make for sadness when you have to sell the land and the only people buying are landbarons paying 1/3 what you paid for it. -Ghoti
