I tiered down from two sims to a little over one sim because the 1.6 release destroyed my biggest project, disrupted my activities and frustrated the hell out of me.

I am in the process of tiering all the way down to maybe 8,000 m2 of land because I'm really REALLY frustrated and lost confidence.

SL is fascinating and fun. But it isn't worth hundreds of $ a month.

I have long-since reached my self-imposed max of 1/8th tier. I have owned most of my land for nearly a year, now. All of it lies within a single sim (mostly consisting of adjacent plots). I definitely have no plans to tier up now, and am waiting with baited breath for the possible prim allotment increases in 1.7.

I rent on a private island - and other bits of useful land elsewhere. The amount of land I have use of at any one time depends on mood and sales. 3072 in Euphoria, 1024 in Loon, 256 in Osterhout, random retail spots rented everywhere...

No rl money spent - all paid for from in game income.

Own over 32,000 m right now and was planning on buying two islands but have changed my mind since I can't even log in, the lag is horrible everywhere unless it is PG land, and tired of paying for something I can't use. I just keep believing this fairytale that my fairy Linden will come by my land and fix the inexcusable lag and fix the log in servers. Most of my friends have tiered down almost to just a basic account and I am and have always been the one looking for a reason to buy more land and keep playing Second Life. Kinda funny that they are right and I might be dreaming.

i'm sorry to hear that.

i hope things are soon stable enough for you to restart your project again.

I'm doing small projects and having fun doing it. Currently building a chess set. SL is great fun, but its just too risky and frustrating for me to invest in. So I'll build and script and play and have fun until it feels more stable before I think about doing anything "big" again.
