Anyone know the historical significance of why Garmisch has a +-14 meter terraform ability? I see all the old sims having +-40 meters, and I see Avalon with +-20 meters, but then there is the oddball Garmisch that has the oddball number of 14 as its limit. How in the world did they decide to make 14 the limit. Is it some Linden's lucky number. http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Sim+Terraformability+List

LL did not realize that the terraform was not set right until more than half the sim was auctioned. People had already built using the accidental terraformability, so LL left it alone.

Most sims are +/- 4m these days so it's probably just a mistake. By the time they realized it was wrong, it was too late to change back, I guess.

I like oddball regions... that's a sparkling observation.

Yikes, now that I've bought land in Garmisch, it seems that the terraform list was wrong. I tried to terraform, and found the land only move about two avatar heights. It seems it has been put back to +-4meters. So buyers beware, the list is wrong.
