First Land

So I'm new here, enjoying the Linux Alpha client (thanks again for your support, LL!!). I'd like to get my own little parcel of home to build upon. The First Land program I keep hearing about seems to be the way to go... except that there's never any available. Is there a regular time that this is updated or is it something that's being done away with? Or should I save up my L$'s and just buy land?

I tried searching forums, but forum search seems to be broken, or at least it's broken under both Firefox and Konqueror.

First Land comes in batches, it can take a week or two (or sometimes more) for LL to release new FL when it runs out. I suggest checking daily. Until then, you might want to look into renting if you want a place of your own - there's a lot of different rental offers around.
