Can I Undo A Subdivision?

Hopefully this is the right place to ask this, there doesn't seem to be a Q&A forum, and forgive me if this has been discussed before, I didn't catch it in a search.

I have a couple adjacent plots, and I would like to join them together into one large plot, I want them all to share the same property. So essentially I want to undo the sub-division that was original set up for these plots by te previous owner.

Is this possible, and if so how?

Thanks.

Joining Adjacent Lots

Go to "Edit Land", select squares on both lots by dragging your mouse over small section of both and click "join".

Yes.

Firstly, turn on property lines (CTRL ALT SHIFT P or something like that. Click and drag to highlight land that covers both parcels (one tile either side of the boundary is sufficient), and click "Join Parcels" (or something like that - not by game so I can't remember sorry). After a few seconds you should find that the two parcels have become one again.

The new large parcel will take on the characteristics of one of the parcels, so you will need to check in "About Land" to make sure that the name, landing point, music stream if any are all set ok.

That's about it I think.

Thanks.

Glad to help.

It's worth pointing out that it's always wise to ensure that auto-return is turned off when joining and dividing land. I have had stuff wooosh on me before by not doing so in the past.

Also, the first plot of land in your selection... that plots characteristics will be the default for the new larger plot of land. So if you have name and music and such set up on one that you want to keep on all, use that plot as your first click for the joining of two.

And triple check that you don’t have any "for sale" features enabled on any of the land... I lost a HUGE plot of land in Zoe (for next to nothing) when I was a new land owner and didn’t know how the land merging worked.

I have found that this doesn't always work :(. I think maybe you have to right click and select edit in that plot, not just click in that plot first to join.

Thanks guys, I'll set the sale price to some enormouse number and make sure they're both not for sale before I merge them.

I haven't before seen a auto return option I certainly dont want all my work being thrown back into my inventory, it woul take days to set it all back up, yikes. I'll be sure to hunt the menus for that feature.

EDIT:

I got it all taken care of, thanks again for the information people. :-)
