Where's the grass and trees and forrest sims?

{If only d'Alliez had some forrests (wink wink nudge nudge)...}

Try Azure Islands. Lots of variety there - be sure and look at all the sims there.

Isle of Blue ~ got it

Thanks Cocoa~ I'll check 'em out.

I did a search in the forums (which is how i found d'Alliez btw) and of course, the Find button is *sooooooooo* helpful. Still, a good woodland-type sim with full permissions, full prims, and sizing i need is rather hard to find.

Mostly when you get an island its blank (or a lot of them seem to be).

A good forest takes many days of carefull planning and planting. Something that many people either cant be bothered to do, or dont have the skill to do IMO.

Neualtenburg's theme is mountainous (city on the mountain, valley down below outside the city walls) with a Modern and Medieval Bavarian Architecture type theme (other architecture types outside the city walls). We also change seasons in the sim to reflect the RL seasons. We will be changing to winter on the first of December. Just in case you were looking into a variety of themes. :)

I've been to Neualtenburg and thought it was enchanting. I had no idea that you changed with the seasons, though. That's pretty cool.

As for a forrest island: all it would take is grass instead of sand. I like the water divisions, but the sand just looks barren and desert-like, even with the water. Grass is green and inviting and folks like me would plant trees all over, i'm sure.

Thanks for all the input!

You can change the sand to grass texture in one stroke, but you need access to the landowners tools to do it, i.e. you have to own the island first.

What are Sim lands? I'm new to all of this and really want to get familiar with the types of land so that I can know what I'm buying. LOL! Thanks in adcvance for replying...I hope you do :-)

Tho most of my sims are sandy, I do have green sims too. On both types I do plant trees and grasses, but 9 times out of 10 when a resident takes the land, they clear them.

Moss is referring to Private estate sims. They can be ordered here -

https://secondlife.com/land/islands.php

They are not attached to the main grid, the largest land mass in SL.

For more info on private sims, check this page -

Also check out TeaZer Peninsula. Although island themed, we've got decent vegetation and nice homes. :D First has done an awesome job landscaping. :)
