I would like to see the colors for the hair and facial hair (including eyebrows) unlinked.

At the moment, if you make the hair color white, the facial hair and eyebrows turn white, too.

This presents problems for people making non-prim hair, since the hair texture won't show properly unless the hair is white, but most people don't want their eyebrows and facial hair to be white.

It's not a problem for people who have their facial hair and eyebrows as part of a skin, but not everyone does.

Since it would be better for lag if people wore non-prim hair, it seems to me that it would make sense for these things to be colored separately.

And it would certainly make my life easier!

RL - Grey hair, dark eyebrows, orange/red beard.
SL - All grey.

Yes! OR even choose to be able to have two settings for each hair and beard, for highlights etc in each.. That would rock..

I finished this up a couple hours ago.

1. Log Out
2. Unzip this to "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\character\" folder
3. Log In

You will find some new things to modify in facial and eyebrows sections of hair.

you will be replacing "avatar_lad.xml", don't worry it comes with a backup.

Will this work for avies of both genders? (probably a silly question, but I'm at work and can't try it out for myself)

I finished this up a couple hours ago.

1. Log Out
2. Unzip this to "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\character\" folder
3. Log In

You will find some new things to modify in facial and eyebrows sections of hair.

you will be replacing "avatar_lad.xml", don't worry it comes with a backup.

^^' i think so, i'm pretty sure i didn't put any restrictions on it.

one side effect is that it causes this warning:
"WARNING: Number of params in AvatarAppearance msg does not match number of params in avatar xml file."

The other side effects:
If you put on hair that has eyebrows or facial hair, the colors will default if they don't haven't been set, to what i'm not totaly sure ^^' it is beyond me how to fix this (probably though the driver parramaters section, and redefining the hair color ids; which i haven't figured out how to work the driver paramaters yet.)

it should be known there are issue with this little hack that can cause your av not to load properly when viewed by others. though the texturing will look right, you may appear as female.
