Most announcements regarding updates etc reference SL time, however all the times on the website are in the viewer's local time zone... how about adding a clock for the current SL time for those of us that are simply useless when it comes to working out/remembering the difference between the in-world time and our RL time zone? :)

If you wanted to make it really nifty you could add a countdown to the expected grid activation too! :D

Yes, absolutely. What I find especially confusing is that the 'Welcome, Anima, you last visited' feature seems to be my own local time, while the Lindens' messages use SL time if they're in CA, but might use their own local times if they're not.
Have I got that right? I'm confused!
Your suggestion is exactly right.

Well I'm all for this!!

But for a short term fix you can set the time to PST/SLT in your User Control Panel and use the clock on your PC/Mac to keep your local time?

This is true, but alters all of the times associated with people's posts too - then I get really lost! lol

Time, it's so relative! :)

To have a countdown clock at the top of the screen and make good use of that header banner... what do you think of that?
