New "Ban" feature

Instead of just being able to ban an individual, would it be possible to ban all members of any particular group that you did not want to have access to your property?

I make the request because I am upset and offended by the LL partnership with the "Suicide Girls", and do not wish to have them on my land. As there are over 100 of them, and you can only add 50 to your ban list, it is not possible to ban them all.

No doubt this would be useful against members of known griefer groups as well.

Second.

However, it seems a common feature in SL that unless you have a specific group _active_, the permissions system will ignore it. They could just turn their group tag off to bypass your ban. That would have to change first, before Group Ban would be effective.

As a work-around, you might consider a 3rd-party security system. I personally reccomend Psyke's.

I don't think the original poster needs to worry much about being overrun by SGs. Just guessin...

I don't think he was expecting to be. But if you don't want anybody from a particular group on your land, you have to ban the whole group.

It was this group that triggered my thought, but the *principle* could be applied to many situations.

Hence I posted it for comments.

I do not like 'security systems', I have had much trouble around the grid because of them infringing on my right to explore and not be griefed by a no-warning invisible script, so I don't really want to go down that line. This function would be a lot easier to set - plus it would be free :D

This is why I reccomend Psyke's. Its a nice one that you can configure to give warnings, and a grace period of 10-30 seconds for people to get off your land. It also sports a passive Banisher mode in which it only targets people that you explicitly tell it to. Check it out some time.
