Move General and Off Topic to another forum

Please give us some option to filter out the General and Off Topic forums when using New Posts. Better still an option to select the the forums we want new posts from would be great. The amount of noise in the discussion forums has become unbearable and makes using the New Posts feature a real headache.

I strongly second this request, but I am not sure it is an option in vBulletin.

Not sure if this would help or not.

What I do is subscribe to the forums that I'm interested in. I get a daily digest from each subscribed forum that lists the new threads and threads that have been updated.

It's not as detailed as New Posts, but in my book that's a plus.

You can subscribe to a forum via the Forum Tools menu button when you are browsing a forum.

The daily e-mail for each subscribed forum looks something like this:

Hello,

You are subscribed to the forum Animations, there have been 1 new threads and 3 updated threads. http://forums.secondlife.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=52

The following threads are new:
************
Inverse kinetics? http://forums.secondlife.com/showthread.php?threadid=60461
