Er... I need a visual example. Even if it's just a scanned napkin sketch. I'm usually good at 3D visualization, but I'm not getting what you mean here. Sounds cool, though, whatever it is.  neko

Hmm, perhaps I can nudge the visualization (the prop owner should clarify if possible please):
A thin cylinder 'bent' in this fashion would be similar to a peice of re-bar with one bend in it. Still one piece but you now have it bent at an angle.
I see both good uses and horrid render lag for this, as well as issues of where to bend it etc, so I'm currently on the fence for this one unless the prop is edited for more detail.

Ok, but do the ends of the cylinder remain parallel or are they now at an angle with respect to one another?
I understand the bent bar part, but not the "corner to corner or middle to middle" part.
Heck, I'm always in favor of new prims and ways to modify the prims we've got, but I don't quite see yet what the original proposer meant.
