A lot of people repeat suggestion ideas. My logical guess is simply that it takes a while to sort through, discuss, refine, and accept or reject possible ideas from players, and so threads get buried.

Perhaps Linden Lab could consider starting a thumbnailed thread that simply lists ideas that are being considered, so
we can cut down on duplicate threads?

But that would like, let all their competitors know what they are planning and possibly get an entire world, society, and grid constructed before they release.

One must be careful with intellectual property these days.

Malachi, I really hope you're being sarcastic.

I endorse this idea. We get feedback on some things that are being worked on at Town Halls... why should we have to wait to be informed about such things when we could have an up-to-date list?

And whatever happened to the bug lists and in development forums/threads?

It seems we keep getting slight communcation about development, and then are cut off again.

In a world where you actualy have users developing things, it really helps to know whats coming so you can adjust your own current developing projects to fit in with the upcoming features.

Especialy if its a curve ball like changing how something in LSL works, or adding, or changing some other major feature.
