Grouping!

This is a major problem I am having. If I put a rotation script on a prim, and link it to others, they all begin rotating.

What I suggest is two levels of grouping. The first, or linking, to apply scripts such as rotation to all the prims in that specific linking. And then the second level, which only makes it possible to select all of the prims of one object with one click, while allowing them all to rotate in different directions, or whatever the case may be.

I am not entirely sure that this hasn't been suggested yet, but I'm sure others are having the same agonizing realization that their amazing idea won't work.

And if this is already possible, please tell me how! But I'm 99.9% sure it isn't.

So yeah.

It can't be THAT hard to add.

This requires a true hierarchy of prims, which LL hasn't sais "no!" to yet, but they refuse to say, "that'd be good, we'll work on it someday."

Um, yes, they have said "we'll work on this after Havok 2... I mean Havok 3..."

They got burned with the "joints" code... it's apparently one of the things that kept Havok 2 from getting imported into the real grid... so they want to wait until they have a physics engine that can handle them before they bring anything like that in again.
