... In a signature???

I have already posted a thread about this and never got an answer even after bumping it.

I *know* 400 is kinda a lot of characters, and it could result into someone having a mega huge siggy. But *I have never seen anyone with such thing so far*, people just put quotes, small images and links to direct TP to their store. And I mean, if it were to happen, rezmods or Lindens could do something...

But for the ones like me who use BB Codes to make pretty signatures and have *many stores* this is a hell. I cannot put all my stores in there because the codes are long and use many characters and I end up having to cut some off.

It's a ridiculous tiny request, I know, but it should be pretty easy for you to change it in your forum setups... Please??
And if it's not going to happen, could someone at least reply "no, elka" or something? LOL

Before the forums got hacked, the sigs were definitely bigger than 400 characters. I know this because my current signature (codes included) is over 500 characters, but it still works. I can't change it though unless I make it smaller than the new limit.

Mmh O.o you are right! I remember seeing the lil thingy say "Needs to be lower then 500 characters" I am so sure! Well ugh, this isn't looking good for my request, then, uh

No I ain't. Signatures are signatures and classifieds are classifeds... And yeah, might wanna do that if they bug you. Personally, as long as they are not huge, I love seeing all the pretty stuff people put in there, and also be able to teleport quickly to any shop that just posted something that I'd like. To each his/her own!

If you guys are here to laugh at my request, you can go many many other places then here to laugh at people. I understand it's freespeech but please. This is a official question/request. Oh and by the way, as you can see, LOOK at my signature, and maybe besides the image of my avatar (and that was a try, not sure to keep it), there is *nothing* BIG in my signature, no quotes, no "words of wisdom", just 7 words, wich are direct TPs to my stores, since we ALL do it among the Classifieds posters and it DOES help our customers. So now go annoy someone else please and let the Lindens deal with my question, thank you.

A signature with a lot of characters isn't always an oversized signature.

Here's mine:



I try to keep my sig small and not in-your-face, with no images. The above uses 583 characters. With the current sig limit, I can't use it anymore (rather, I can't change the existing one anymore).

I pretty much poke fun at all feature requests without regard to the merit of them as they are largely futile. For more efficient dismissal of your request, might I suggest the "official" Second Life Answers forum (or, put another way, this forum - to a first approximation - does not exist)

What seems futile to one may be very important to another, it's call different needs for different people who are different (I could go on forever)... etc. You certainly do not run a business, or if you do, you certainly do not know/use marketing tools too well! But anyways, I absolutely do not wish this thread to turn into some kind of fight, that what makes me the sadest about forum...
