I would like to see some way to manually prioritize texture download, so that the texture included in something or someone i select will have download priority over everything else.
This could have many uses, one that comes to mind is that (just as a bana example) a photographer clicks on his model and selects "Prioritize Textures". With that the textures on the model avatar (skin, clothes, stuff) download and rez before everything else on the photgrapher's client, making things MUCH faster.
Immense download times for medium resolution clothes (512X512) are beginning to get really annoying. Yesterday i was making a photoshot with a model and it took FORTYFIVE minutes for her 512X512 top to load. Wich is really unacceptable.

Prioritised Texture Rezzing

I think that it would be relatively useful to make "priority for download" highest for things directly in front of the current view, so that things in the centre of the field of vision are got before things in the peripheral area.

Alternatively, items currently under where the cursor is being hovered could be rezzed first, meaning that you could point to the item that's not rezzed (without clicking) to get it done quicker. This would solve some of the photography problems!
