Proposal 244:
Provide enhanced, fully delegate-able (without groups) parcel tools designed to combat grief, and render security scripts unneccesary.
Here's a wish-list (in no particular order):
**Ability to stop all sound effects **Ability to stop objects from entering my parcel owned by a banned Avatar. **Ability to stop shouts/says/whispers from entering my parcel from the immediate area. **More granularity in blocking outside scripts... such as... *****************blocking push scripts, from guns, bombs, etc. *****************blocking physics from vehicles, etc. *****************blocking outside particle systems **More granularity in blocking "build"on an AV by AV level, instead of everyone. **Ability to *move* any object that is on my parcel, regardless of owner without returning. (Case in point: ghosts. Would have been nice if i could have dragged the ghost of that 20m giant monkey into the ground after the creator logged.) **Ability for landowner or delegator to right-click & TP home an avatar with warning **Ability to better delegate these permissions to individuals without using groups **Ability to determine "who did what" easily without having to search for object beacons. **Ability to "silence" an AV while on my parcel (Temporarily to cool things down. 15 seconds is not enough.) **Allow a ban list to include groups rather than just individual AV's, and don't limit the length of that list to just 50. **Ability to define the range of effect of these tools in 3-dimensional bounding box
Right now, the only useful tool at my disposal that actually works, and conforms within the TOS, is a script to send Avitars home, which is rudementary at best. Eject & Ban? Please. I can't delgate it - and that just pisses them off more, and leads into more drama when they return to the edge of the parcel. At least with TP home, they've had a few minutes to cool off as they're flying back. Sure would be nice if i could prevent some of the problems before they happen, before having to take action after the fact, which often ends up being futile after the damage has already been done.
Please LL- take the load off the Liasons on duty. Give the landowners better tools so we can manage these situations effectively ourselves without having to call you.

I like some of these ideas.
How about having it so Freeze, lasts as long as you want? And you have to *unfreeze* them manualy.
In that way it would act as the often chat room/IRC command of muting someone.
If they don't want to be frozen anymore, they can always teleport away, no?

I think the only way to solve it would be to have new land checkboxes.
1. "Disable abused script commands unless there on the Allow list". 2. "Auto return items that are owned by avatars on the Ban list"
The lists would contain groups and individual names. Internally the system would unpack the group members into the main list every x minutes to reduce server processing time during an attack.
Scripts whoses owners are not on the "Allow" list can't. 1. llRezObject() and llRezAtRoot() and llGiveInventory() 2. llPushObject() 3. llSetStatus(STATUS_PHYSICS,TRUE) or llSetPrimitiveParams([PRIM_PHYSICS, TRUE])
Avitars not on the "Allow" list should be prevented from. 1. Having more than x objects on the land.
Sim settings would also change. 1. "Physical" scripted Objects not on the "Allow" list would become "phantom" to other objects. They still would be controlled by the physics engine and there script, however other objects would not see them and therefore "Impacts" and "Impact pushes" would be turned off.
Crossing land borders, regardless of height, should be the same as rezing them on your land.
The result...
1. Without the ability to rez objects, guns can't fire. 2. Without the ability to push anything, bombs can't move you. 3. Without the ability to make physical objects, you can't move Avitars by bumping them.
On the other hand the following can still work 1. Vendors in the vendor group can Rez the display items and sell stuff. 2. Customers can still rez and unpack the items they bought. 4. Customers can still play with there pet's. 5. "phantom" Prevents a wild scripted ball that keeps hitting everyone. 6. The "Ban objects" prevents using a script to continuously toss one box over the property line. 7. The "Ban objects" would remove a huge sign or blocked walkway.
