I'd like to be able to store multiple levels of folders inside of objects, in order to organize the contents more specifically than just "contents". I'd also like LSL tools to be made that can identify and interact with the different folders and sub-folders. Would it be noticeably more of a server strain to store the (potentially) hundreds or thousands of items inside an object by folder, rather than simply "contents"? Pretty please.

and while they're at it make it possible to drag multiple items and folders into and out of an object at once. and same thing for our inventories.

bump with the added request that we be able to see texture folder organization in the texture selection list when editing. if we're going to have the ability to group things into folders, those groupings should be reflected everywhere we access inventory items.

I'll add a "hell yeh" to that.

Bump again, as this would in fact fix one issue I see with 'new user' packages: I want to create *one* New User package of things that a newcomer should own, be it landmarks, notecards, or scripts. But I don't want them all sent in an insane jumble, nor do I want to have one item out for each category. Both are messy solutions for the first-time player (from personal experience). It would be nicer to have folders of each in the prim. Then the user only has to rez one prim item and grab the folders or have a on_rez/touch script drop all the folders into inventory in a neat organization. This also helps to get the user on a head start in organizing things.

Each would put a different category folder into the av's inventory, right?
