I would like there to be no notice when you are removing someone from your friends list... the banner which pops up reads like:
"Sexypants has taken you OFF their FREINDS list, LOOSER..HAHAHAHAHAAAA!!"
And we feel it's being a little cruel, we want it gone.
Also, a friend has someone on her list who follows her around a lot... she says he's not doing any harm, but she'd prefer that he didn't follow her around.
What we need here is a system where you can mute someone... friends list or otherwise... so they can't locate you.
So that they would have to IM you and allow you to TP them in... unless you have muted that too, of course.
And perhaps a "do not disturb" notice would be nice too, just for those temporary moments.

what? SL doesn't tell you that you have been removed from other people list.
It does, however, tells you that you removed them off your own list. It's already done in quiet way.
If you don't want to be disturbed yet at moment times... use Busy Mode. Go to "World" at top of your screen, then click on "Set Busy".
However, I do agree that there's must have function or ability to keep them on friend list but not letting them able to map you.

Busy mode is messed up. You're actually easier to contact when you're not logged in at all than when you're in Busy mode.
I want a mode that just makes me appear offline to the "IM" functions when I'm online. Like I was leaving my cellphone at home.

Indeed, they are kinda messy now for odd reason.
*nods at developers who changed "add friend" button*
But Busy Mode still works in normal chat channel on other hand. : /

Hidden "online" status from select friends
11-13-2006 06:08
Just to add to the thoughts and I hope this hasn't already been discussed ad nauseum, since I have'nt read thru all the posts, but I'd also like to see it where you can hide your online status from certain selectable friends in your friend list. Sometimes they can be pesty and some folk log off rather than have to deal with a friend who they may be trying to avoid for "whatever" reason.
