Linden Lab,
Money loss is the equivalent of content loss. Philip has stated that content loss is #1 priority to prevent, and so it follows that so should money loss.
Residents have been complaining that heavy server loads or other conditions can cause the lack of transfer of items that have been paid for. While data loss happens, there's no reason we can't have some basic level of accountability.
Option 1: Spend a lot of money and time developing a redudant, error-checked money transfer method that "holds" money until the money() event in scripts has completed. This may be ultimately needed, but it doesn't seem reasonably cost-effective at this time.
Option 2: Stamp item/resident/sim/time/money with every transaction to player account for the last 30 days, offer players the option to have it emailed to them in a basic format (CDL?) at the end of each month. Really, it's just adding a few values to the existing transaction history. This would give residents a better ability to troubleshoot problems, as well as an instant way for any player to track his/her own sales (rather than relying on 3rd party scripts / sites)

Well, baba... I've found two things to be true:
1. When LL plans to implement something, they keep quiet about it until it's nearly ready or they need it for marketing.
2. When LL doesn't like an idea at all, they just ignore it.
The only time I've seen LL really openly talk about features is when they like the concept but are looking for help figuring out the specifics on how it should work.
So, basically, their silence on any issue could be positive or negative.

This is a good suggestion. It answers a lot of requests and concerns voiced lately by serious business owners and customers. From: Hiro Pendragon Really, it's just adding a few values to the existing transaction history. This would be true if LL used relational databasing techniques. From: Hiro Pendragon When LL plans to implement something, they keep quiet about it until it's nearly ready or they need it for marketing. I've always wondered why they do this. They have no competition eagerly trying to release duplicate features ahead of LL's schedule. To make us wonder about these things, and less serious points such as where new sims will be added or where telehubs will be placed, just makes the whole thing seem like a silly game. I suppose it's part of the population study. I hope they publish that soon, for whatever glory and credit it's worth to them, so they can start treating us like people rather than players.

Or, if they just fixed the database on the website under your account information to show the actual sale item instead of OBJECT and allowed you to download more than one day at a time would also fix the problem. This has been brought up several times and LL keeps saying the OBJECT part is fixed. It isn't and is pretty useless if it doesnt give the item name purchased for purposes of tracking sales for customer service.
Any improvements in this area would be greatly appreciated.
