Will we ever get a decent tracker?

The red tracker beam has never worked right. It doesnt update fast enough, making it difficult to find people. It tends to get stuck when people cross sim borders.
I know we can just ask for a tele but this is ridiculous.

Agreed, this should be fixed, its very annoying that it doesn't work.

I aggree also, It hasn't ever worked, and you have to guess where people are...

Also, with llSensor, it doesnt work over 96m And I think that is intertwined with the tracker, Thats because when I was working in the *ONE* Sandbox, I got shot, and then I tracked the person, and once he left 96m he kept moving, but the beam didnt, it kinda jumped after he went about another 96m

I've never had any trouble with the beam except in a few cases where the person being tracked got "lost" between servers... Then the beam sorta wandered or got stuck. But since the person had to relog anyway, it was moot.

It used to be a lot worse from what I remember - I think they've improved it slightly but yeah it still has issues. I notice it will often be inaccurate if you aren't in the same sim as the person.. but once you get into that sim it tracks them correctly.

I agree it should be made less flaky...

I think its only accurate if the person is within your draw distance, and since my bandwidth is worth its weight in gold, or so says my ISP, I keep it at 64 all the time :|

Ahh.. you may be right about that. I keep mine pretty low too but I haven't noticed that behavior.
